Updated July 20, 2007
We are moving ahead full-speed and working very hard to make it a success, bringing new games and activities for everyone.
Raffle Tickets were distributed to all Parishioners during all Masses on July 14th and 15th. If you were not there, please feel free to ask the Hospitality Ministers for some. St. Elizabeth's has roughly 2,800 registered families. The Fiesta Committee CHALLENGES ALL parishioners to sell/buy 3 books (30 tickets - $1 each ticket). Sell them to your family, friends, co-workers - buy some for yourself! We have great door prizes, all of which were donated, so whatever we sell will be pure profit for our parish. Can you imagine what this would do for St. Elizabeth's? This is our largest fund raiser, and there are so many projects in our Church, the Chapel, RE Building and the Hall that could benefit. When you have sold/purchased your tickets, be sure and put your name on the back of the ticket stubs so we can give you credit for your sales. We will have prizes for the top sellers.
Since we will no longer have the Flea Market during Fiesta, we encourage you to donate your gently used, non-broken items to the LADIES CLUB who will be having a Yard Sale on Saturday,August 11th in the Hall. This is one of their largest fund raisers, so let's all support them by donating items to or buying from them!
T-Shirts with the Fiesta Theme, "CARNIVAL", will be unveiled soon!
On August 14th, at 6:30 pm, there will be a meeting for all Booth Chairpersons. We ask that all Chairpersons attend this very important meeting. We will be providing a nice dinner to all Chairpersons and their families, so we will need a headcount of those attending.
Toward the end of August, we will be putting out the Donation Forms (for those who wish to donate cash or items for the Cake Walk, Dessert Table, Soft Drinks, Beanie Babies, etc.).
Finally, we are looking for one more couple or a single person or two (we do not discriminate!) to work on the Fiesta Committee on Facilities. This is a 2-year commitment. This year you learn the ropes working with the Seidenbergers and next year you will Chair it and train someone to follow.
You will never walk alone. The current committee will be glad to give you guidance and answer any questions you may have next year. There are also many parishioners who have served on the Steering Committee, and I'm sure would be glad to help out. Our goal is to get everyone involved so that the same persons aren't doing it all the time (we don't want burnout and face it, some of us are getting older!)
It just wouldn't be possible to have this Fiesta without the total support of all of you - the generous parishioners of St. Elizabeth's - THANK YOU!
