Baptism
Sacraments   >   Baptism

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." - CCC 1213

To have your child baptized we ask that you provide for us certain sacramental records.  This is part of the Church's Canon Law regarding the Sacraments.  So that this happens in time for your child's baptism, we ask that you do not attend a baptism class before you have come into the office and picked up your baptism packet from Adriana at the front desk and completed the necessary document gathering.  This can take some time, so we ask that you begin this process three months before you want your child baptized.  If you need to retrieve documents from far away, or even a foreign country, and need extra time, please contact Adriana or Fathers Pedro & Steve. For all other information on baptisms in our parish please contact: Adriana Serratos at 251-9838.
