RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES
Children in grades K-8th learn about the Catholic faith with their peers. Classes meet for one hour a week throughout the school year and are taught by volunteer catechists (teachers). The ministry of a catechist is to be a witness of the faith by proclaiming Christ’s message, developing community, leading others to worship and prayer, and motivating them to serve (NDC 213).
How can I get involved?
Students of all ages (K-12th) are taught by catechists who donate their time and talent to the children of our parish. Registration fees are waived for catechist’s children!

FAMILY CATECHESIS PROGRAM
This home-based method provides a quality faith education by enabling one-on-one catechesis and allowing the material to be paced and tailored for each child. By giving parents the lead role as catechist this program encourages family communication and develops the concrete application of faith principles in the home. This method is not for every family. It is time intensive and requires self-discipline, along with an understanding of the basic faith principles of the Catholic Church. There are mandatory group meetings to monitor progress throughout the year.
